Unanswerable question

What is it that is lurking in my mind? morphing, changing, going everywhere and nowhere at the same time, it's impossible to know what it is, it's making my mood go up and down..

A memory? something in the present? maybe a fear of the future? what is it that can take control of my mind and body so easily, like how easy it is to beat amy at checkers (haha)

I walked through the dark alley way, it was hard to see what was 2 meters infront of me. Paranoia began to set in as I started to believe someone was watching me, I quickened my pace, constantly looking over my shoulder, looking for a follower, someone or something with bad intentions towards me. Small twigs from the tree's hanging overhead snapped around me, yet everytime I looked in the sounds direction, there was nothing there, voices started to echo, bouncing off the walls and injecting themselves into my head constantly, beating my mind down and crushing my spirit. My adrenaline was pumping so hard I could feel it pulsing through my veins.

The exit to the alley way was close, about 5 meters away, and around the corner from that was my house, my safe zone.. or so I thought. I walked another 2 meters and stopped, and tried to listen for anything, anyone who might be on my trail, trying to find out where I live perhaps? maybe they're just trying to scare the shit out of me.. and it was working.

Suddenly, a harsh gust of wind smacked me full force in the face, and I took a step back.. whispers filled the air, taunting me, telling me things I couldn't hear properly, the start and ends of sentences was all I could make out, as if the force of nature was trying to kick me out of sanity, if I even had that.

Suddenly, a real yell, shouting and harsh curses filled the air, real ones I whirled around to face the one that had been following me, to take it head on without fear. I couldn't see anyone, but I could hear them, they sounded like they were about 5 meters away. That was when I felt their force.

Something cracked me in the back of my skull, I fell forward on my face, the adrenaline was rushing through me so quickly I thought it was going to make my head explode, I got back up as fast as I could, again to look around, and find nothing, except the faint sound of laughter. I sprinted out of the alley way, and looked down the street, nothing was there. The adrenaline was going down, and my head started pulsing with pain, I reached back to my head and I could feel a liquid, I expected it to be blood but it felt way to thin to be blood, when I looked at it, it was a shiny silver metallic colour. The footsteps came back, this time they were running straight towards me, from the end of the road.

I could see it this time, it had a human figure, but it was so much bigger, 10 foot tall, built like a tank and seemed to be dissapearing the closer it got to me. It looked like a huge shadow, maybe because it was so dark, but something told me it wasn't going to stop running, then it suddenly dissapeared completely from view, and the footsteps had gone, I had about one second to look around, and suddenly the creatures face was a centermeter from mine, I tried to scream but my voice has completely gone, I tried to move my legs but it felt like they had attached themselves to the ground.

I looked at the beast, and it said "The thoughts at the back of your mind, the plague that runs through your head, is what created me. I am your evil" as it said this, my evil plucked me from the ground and tossed me aside, knocked me unconcious.

I awoke in the hospital 10 days later, my father had found me knocked out next to the brickwall near the alleyway. The doctor asked me what happened, and I said I coudn't remember, and he said "it looks like you've been beaten up by someone, but thanks to your street neihbours security camera, we managed to see what happened.." We all watched it about 10 minutes later, my eyes were rolled back into my skull when I came into view, just after I got out of the alley way, when it got to the point of when the creature, my plague attacked me...

I myself ran into the wall, and knocked myself out.
