Dear Rival

Strongly urged somewhere to find the wisdom to cure
And I heard you're sweet message of answers, dear rival.
I told you of devastating battles, ones of confusion and lust
mechanical warriors, hope and desire to fix..
So rival, you sent me a message.

And I went to the church of faith
Just to see.
And I found not just myself, but who I was.
Regardless of the story, however.. dear rival..

This battle of wits and courage, smarts and cunning
A powerful incentive lust for approval of the gods
This will not survive, and we will both soon die

We did not ask for this.
Nor did we commit to anger and destruction.
And yet we fight over strength, dear rival.
We fight as if only one will be chosen.

Dear rival...
This is not what I bargained with you.
And yet you are my rival.
What will it take to stop this pointless destruction?
